• Progressed through three roles at W3 Affinity, expanding from content and creative development into leadership of WordPress development and ongoing web operations for 45+ active client websites across real estate, e-commerce, and B2B services.
• Delivered 20+ full WordPress builds and rebuilds, including new websites, redesigns, and migrations from legacy themes and page builders to modern WordPress implementations.
• Build and customize WordPress sites using Gutenberg, ACF, custom themes, child themes, custom blocks, custom post types, custom taxonomies, PHP functions, shortcodes, Gravity Forms, Elementor, Divi, Kadence, and supporting plugins and integrations.
• Serve as the primary technical partner to Account Management for client website requests, evaluating incoming work, resolving tasks directly when appropriate, routing larger development needs to external developers, and reviewing completed work before release.
• Triage development requests by scope and complexity, write technical tasks, coordinate work with white-label development resources, and validate implementations against client requirements.
• Improve Core Web Vitals through diagnosis, caching, asset optimization, render-path improvements and performance tooling including Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, WebPageTest, Perfmatters, WP Rocket and Query Monitor.
• Lead website migrations and redesigns with DNS coordination, SSL, URL mapping, staging validation, backups, launch checks and post-launch monitoring. Preserve useful content and redirects to reduce search and downtime risks.
• Implement technical SEO at the site-architecture level, including schema markup, internal linking, redirect mapping, metadata systems, and content structure.
• Configure and maintain WordPress hosting environments across WP Engine and Rocket.net using WP-CLI, SSH, SFTP, staging and production workflows, plugin/theme updates, backups, restores, and ongoing maintenance.
• Handle routine WordPress security remediation and hardening, including vulnerability monitoring with Patchstack, security headers, Cloudflare Turnstile, cleanup, and escalation of higher-level incidents to specialized security partners when appropriate.
• Configure GA4, Google Tag Manager, Postmark, Gravity Forms integrations, email platform connections, and light webhook-based integrations based on client requirements.
• Perform staging QA, browser and device testing, form testing, Lighthouse/PageSpeed validation, and accessibility remediation as part of formal launch and maintenance workflows.
• Manage project priorities and delivery workflows in Monday.com and Trello, and create Loom screen recordings for client training, website walkthroughs, troubleshooting, and support documentation.
• Use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and MCP-based workflows for code generation, debugging, documentation, WordPress troubleshooting, performance analysis, accessibility troubleshooting, and technical research.
