Bariatric Times

A WordPress rebuild and content migration for an established medical publication, combining legacy-site stabilization, preserved editorial content, and a modern publishing structure.

The challenge: modernizing a legacy publication

Bariatric Times presented a challenging modernization project. The existing publication was running on a severely outdated WordPress implementation with significant security concerns that needed attention while its replacement was being developed. The project combined security remediation, content preservation, migration, restructuring, and a complete website rebuild.

My contribution to the rebuild and migration

I helped triage and stabilize the legacy WordPress environment while the new website was being developed. The publication was then rebuilt to align with the broader Matrix Medical Communications website family. Existing editorial content was migrated and reorganized, with dedicated WordPress content types and templates for articles, videos, podcasts, news, and other media.

I continue to support performance, security, forms, technical SEO, image optimization, development, and monthly maintenance.

A clearer publishing structure

The rebuilt site organizes articles, videos, podcasts, news, and other media into dedicated WordPress content types and templates. The work combined a new presentation with the underlying structure needed to manage a continuing publication.
